Hi I'm new to rowing (about 2 weeks) and I've just completed my first 5000m row in 19:45 I'm just wondering if that's a good time.
I'm 36 6ft tall and 235lbs

Thanks

That is very good by my standards. You averaged 7.03 mph.
Today I rowed 5 miles and averaged 4 mph.
I might have compromised my best time by stopping to take videos and a short stop for a beer break! :)

That is an average of 8:00 (approx) for 2,000 meters.
If your damper was at 10, incredible. If a one, much less so.

A warm-up is strongly suggested, and a cooldown. Both benefit the heart, prevent you operating on adrenaline.

I am 64, 145 lbs, mostly do average of 9:00 for 2,000m. Current pb is 1:38 pace this year, but only for 1 minute.
