I suffer from really bad DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness) after an intense rowing workout. My DOMS is so bad I can barely walk down the stairs! I feel like a cripple for three days, it's no fun. I'm considering having a sports massage to help with the DOMS.

Have any of you ever had a proper sports massage? Did it help?
While not for rowing, I have had them done to me post-ride during cycling events. They help a bunch! I think its a good thing because it helps to decrease pain while your body attempts to heal itself. I use a tens unit for my back problems for that same idea.
