New to rowing

When your starting out, you should start working on your arms and chest muscles. Because those are two of the most important part of your body when it comes to rowing. Also if you can afford it, look into getting yourself a rowing machine.

Hi!!! I don't think you really need swim times, since the only thing you need about swimming is probably that you won't drown if the boat capsized. Unless they are using the times the determine your strength, but that's kinda inaccurate...

I am happy to hear that you are joining a proper squad!!! For now the only tips would be to enjoy it!!! :) Until you are training competitively it is important to build up passion first. Everything will follow!

If you have no opportunity to row on water, you can use a rowing machine. A rowing machine is a good means of practising rowing, it might not be as good as the real thing but it is the next best option.
